On June 26 2026, CeDRI researcher Leonardo Mendonça presented the latest results of the IA-SMAB-PGNP project at the CIGR-EURAGENG World Congress in Turin, Italy. Developed through a partnership between CeDRI and Data CoLAB, the project aims to create a digital platform for analyzing and assessing vegetation indices and fire occurence data in common lands within the Peneda-Gerês and Montesinho Natural Parks.

By providing faster and more efficient data analysis, the platform supports better land management, informed decision-making, and contributes to the preservation and sustainability of these valuable ecosystems
